SUMMER IS COMING TO AN END...DIY PROJECT

I LOVE THE FALL COLORS AND THE COOL AIR IT BRINGS.

I HAD SOME WOOD FROM HARDWARE STORE I HAD CUT INTO 12 X 12 SIZE.

I STAINED IT FIRST WITH TIM HOLTZ WALNUT STAIN.

THAN I STARTED PAINTING THE PUMPKINS.

THEY WERE PRETTY EASY JUST MAKING C'S ON BOTH SIDES AND A LOT OF SHADING.  THE FENCE IS A SIZZIX DIE AND I ALSO USED TIM HOLTZ STRIP DIE FOR THE SMALL LEAVES.

I WAS SURPRISED HOW GOOD IT TURNED OUT...

TEE HEE GOES TO SAY JUST GO FOR IT IT'S JUST PAINT.

Vintage wedding Jewerly Box.

I have had my friends Mothers jewelry box that was from the 60's in my craft room for a while.  I was having a hard time deciding what to do with it for her.

Than one day I called her to ask if she would dog sit for me, she said sure but can I do her a favor.  I said sure what's up. well remember my moms box? "YES" I do. She asked me to make it for her new daughter-in-law as a wedding gift.  Now, I know what to do I thought.

I love how it turned out.

My friend gave me some of her moms jewelry to use.

I tried to make it look like she left it laying on the box.

I added satin fabric all over the box and look at them feet. 

I  Love Tim Holtz embellishment's.

The inside has a photo of her parents, her with son and the brides parents.

For privacy reasons I blacked out some faces.

Mixed media pages and Tags.

I have had so much fun working in other creative Artist journals for a Round Robin 

I'm in over at Art Geeks ning sight hosted by Christy Sobolewski.  

This page I used Dina Wakley's paints.  I love how she has taken all the work out of 

color matching and the results I get using them.

I used the same paints here I used a chalk pencil to shade her in.

I always have extra paint so instead of wasting it Ill mop it up on tags or in my art journal.

Donna Downey "Paint like an Artest" class

 I did water color class here at my local scrapbook store with Donna Downey.

The canvas is a 10 x 14 but the one in the back ground is a 18x20 and I had already did that one. when I got home I put her on it and thought wow just what it needed.

ATC SWAP WITH LIVELOVESCRAP BONA

I jump on it. she is very talented and there's always a fun swap.

This swap was to make a ATC using a mini magnolia stamp, shabby chic style.

 

 

I used mini magnolia with wings.  The tree is a new sizzix die.

 

We also had to make a box for our ATC.

Playing with my stamps.

I love the new Prima stamps by Jamie Dougherty.

I made her using watercolor paper and colored her using Tim Holtz distress markers to give her that watercolor look.  I like how she turned out, cant wait to try her with my copic's next.

Prima Doll Large Tags

I love how my tags turned out and  I just had to share.

 

I used the 12x5 tags by Ranger and the paper is Lyric by Prima.

The mixed media part we had to add is molding past using the

 Christy Tomlinson doily stencil.  I also used diamond dust on her dress.

This one I used the new Tim Holtz burlap stencil with Art Anthology Frost.

liquid pearls and stickles for a little sparkle.

I just love playing with the Prima doll Stamps.

White on White A-2 cards

These are my cards I made for a swap I was in at yourpaperpantry ning sight.

I love how they turned out.

I joined this swap so I could challenge myself to try this.

 

I used embossing folders to give texture to the paper.

than I went digging in my embellishments found some handmade flowers I had made.

some butterflies and flat back pearls for a little contrast.

Birthday Card for a friend.

 

My girlfriend gave me the pink embossed piece and I used it on my card.  the floral is a scrap piece of fabric wide ribbon I had in my stash.

 

 

There is a mix of flowers I used and a stick pin I received from a swap.

The wood watch is leaky shed.

pink seam binding bow and a flat back pearl.
