12 Days of Christmas Event at Ooh-la-la Vintage Treasures Christmas Tree...

12 Days of Christmas Event at Ooh-la-la Vintage Treasures

How to fold the tree

You will need 6 squares to make this tree.
The size's are
 1# 6 1/2 X 6 1/2.   2# 6X6 .    3# 5 1/2 X 5 1/2.
4# 5 X 5.     5# 4 1/2 X 4 1/2.  and   #6 is 4X4.
You can also make a smaller on for cards or even a
ornament be creative with it just change your size as
long as you do half increments.
 Fold in half.
Now flip and fold in half again to crate a crease.
Now fold your paper corner to corner and emboss

Now it gets a bit tricky fold it back in half and tuck in the sides.
this will look like a point . now fold in both sides to the center.
This is your tree.

Ornate Frame for my Tree.

 Front
I used the Ornate Frame die by Sizzix. The image was one I had .
I used the paper line from Melissa Frances " Deck the Halls". Some of the swrils came from Michaels. All the other Items are from Pro 31 Designs Etsy Store and here are all the links to help you find them. Thanks and Happy Holidays
Hope this Inspires you to create something for your tree to...TFW

Brown Vintage Mulberry Paper Roses Flowers 144 PCS small steampunk moulin rouge 8050E
Here I cut out strips of scrapbooking paper that looks like wood and embossed it with my Tim Holtz Embosing folder that gives the look of wood grain.
Here I distress the edges with Walnut stain.

The star

The star was a paper mache one i rubbed Inka-gold in Platinum to give it a silver look. Than I used Distress crackle paint Rock candy to make it look cracked. I did have to trim off the back so it would lay flat.

This is a close up of the top of my picture.

This is the Final results.

PAY IT FORWARD!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pay it Forward

I found this over at ClassyDify, Katherines blog.. http://www.classydify.blogspot.com/.. she is doing this pay it forward.. so I thought.. what a great idea.. :)

"Pay It Forward" is the idea of blessing someone with a random act of kindness without expecting anything in return. It’s passing on a kindness, hoping that your recipients will do the same, and forming a never-ending chain of goodwill. But it isn’t only kindness, it is also a means to connect and share instead of just keeping it to ourselves.

"I promise to send an original creation to the 1st 5 people who leave a comment here. They must, in turn, post this, and send something they make to the 1st 5 people who comment on their status."

1. Leave a comment on this post. I will send a handmade gift to the first 5 commenters.

2. Create a post on your blog offering the same.

3. Send a handmade item to your first 5 commenters.

4. It must be sent to your 5 people sometime in 2011.
